Many of us focus on physical detoxes but do not understand that spiritual detoxes are just as necessary, if not more. I know the importance/ necessity of spiritual detoxing from personal experience. Through my recent journey, I discovered what I needed was not physical, but spiritual. My prescription was to purge through writing.
PRESCRIPTION
THE CLEANSE

Through my recent journey, I discovered what I needed was not physical, but spiritual. My prescription was to purge through writing.
One of the hardest things in life is to look yourself in the mirror and admit you had a hand in the events in your life.
Until I let go of the hurt, I could not be free from it and my heart could not heal.
It was through my writing of poetry that I healed from the loss of my father, embraced my earthly spiritual farther, and developed a relationship with my heavenly Father .
I became severely ill spiritually and was on a rapid decline, but refused to acknowledge my own clinical signs.
I had to realize that as much as I did not want to experience being in pain, that was the only way to bring healing.
As I wrote about the pain and released it, God did exactly what He said he would. He restored, confirmed, strengthened, and established me.
